First impressions are everything! As a Public Area Houseperson we want our members and guest to see sparkling club facilities every time they come to play, visit, and join us for a meal. The pride you take in ensuring all public areas of the club are clean and tidy will reflect in the members view of our property as one of superior quality.



Club Overview:
Tucked among the oaks and pines along the shores of the historical lake, Sharks Tooth Golf Club is a challenging routing that is one with nature. The course stretches 7,209 yards from the back tees and features five fairways that border Lake Powell, two holes that play toward the water and numerous wooden cart path bridges that cross over protected wetlands and uplands. Located just minutes from Scenic Highway 30A, Shark's Tooth Golf Club is idyllically surrounded by loblolly pines, native oaks and the shores of Lake Powell. The club boasts a recently renovated 21,000 sq. ft. coastal wood-beamed clubhouse that offers full amenities such as a Golf Shop, Mens and Womens Locker Rooms, Dining Room, Grill and Lounge.



Summary of Responsibilities:


Reporting to the Facilities Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Clean assigned public areas throughout club grounds
  • Empty trash in all public areas and clean public area restrooms and locker rooms
  • Clean all mirrors, inside of windows, wipe and dust all surfaces; keeping all brass shiny
  • Vacuum carpets and ensure all floor surfaces are clean and free of spills.

  • Respond to calls/requests for service
  • Review daily function activity to ensure all necessary timelines are met and quality is maintained
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
  • Report necessary maintenance items
  • Follow all safety, vehicle, and sanitation policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

  • Standing:
    6-8 hrs/day
  • Sitting: 0-2 hrs/day
  • Walking: 6-8 hrs/day
  • Bending/reaching: 4-6 hrs/day
  • Pushing/pulling: 2-4 hrs/day
  • Physical effort: moderate, required to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Environmental stress: high - chemical use, responding to a variety of guest calls

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of previous housekeeping or janitorial experience is required, preferably in an independent work situation
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

  • Highly responsible & reliable and able to be self-directed

  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision

  • Ability to focus attention on member and guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
